Searching for other blogging couples

Now that Stephanie and I are up and blogging again, I have decided to see if I can find other couples out there who have also decided to start a blog together. I’m sure that there are a lot of other blogging couples out there, I’m just not really sure at this point how I’m going to actually find them. I’m pretty good at this whole Internet thing, so I’m sure that I’ll figure it out and hopefully before you know it I’ll be telling you all about the other cool blogs that I end up tracking down.

I understand that tracking down these other blogging couples might sound slightly Internet-stalkerish, but I promise that I have good intentions and would simply like to meet other couples out there who are using blogging as a way to make their relationship even better. Plus, if most of you didn’t already know this I’ll let you in on a little secret, developing an amazing relationship with someone that you love isn’t easy and it takes a lot of work. Of course, hopefully it’s work that both of you are more than willing to do, but one thing that I know is that it definitely isn’t easy. So, any ways that I can either learn from another couple or can help out another couple I’m all about finding ways to make the path to an amazing relationship easier and I feel that connecting with other couples who blog is a great way to do just that.

After doing a quick search on the train ride home from work the other day I am happy to report that I found my first official blogging couple. The blog is called ‘he said she said‘ and it’s a part of the overall website that Brendan and Jessica created together that’s creatively called BrenandJess.com(which is eerily similar to our naming scheme of HupandSteph.com). From what I can tell Brendan and Jessica are a married couple in Virginia(I think?) who have a beautiful daughter named Bridget. They seem to have a really great relationship and it totally shows in their blog. It’s amazing how you feel like you can really know a couple after just reading their blog for a few minutes. For instance, here are a few things that I can now tell you about the loves of Brendan and Jessica:

Like I said, you can find out a lot.

I plan on adding links to each of these couple blogs that I find and hope to potentially even create a network of them eventually so that we all can connect, learn and share the good, bad and interesting lives that we all lead on a day-to-day basis. I mean, it sounds like a good idea and plus, I’m going to need some wedding advice here eventually and hopefully Brendan can hook a bruthu up.

I just want to say that you caught us at just the right time. I (underline I) just redesigned and rebuilt the website over the past couple of weeks, and sent out an official relaunch email to friends and family the other day. Check a Google cache of it, and you’ll see what I mean. It was a disaster before (not from the outside, but functionally).

    2. I did vote for Obama, but keep political views generally out of my blogging. Even though I usually have pretty strong opinions.

    3. There’s no denying I’m a HUGE Steelers fan (I’m originally from Western Pennsylvania). If I tell you about my Sunday rituals, it could be grounds to be put in an institution. You’ll also notice I wrapped my daughter in a terrible towel the day she was born.

    4. Jess is the one that does most of the blogging, although I’m trying to make a commitment to do more of it. I do Twitter, though, and you can catch my stream at http://twitter.com/bdkelly. I promise, it’s never exciting.

    5. Whatever you need, just ask. I’ll tell you the truth about marriage, bro, no problem.

Anyway, thanks for the plug, and we’ll be checking you guys out often. We’re re-doing the list of blogs on the side, and once we get around to figuring out how we’re going to do it, we’ll add you guys.

    Brendan

I’m so glad you’re connecting other couples through the power of blogs. Matt and I have a blog surrounding our Overseas Experience (OE) in New Zealand. Check it out at http://www.thesonglines.wordpress.com.

Hope life is going well for you!

    Cheers,
    Liz

Bredan, from the sound of things I’m sure that you have some serious marriage advice and I might just have to take you up on that. I appreciate the rest pf the fun facts and the other updates that you clued me in on…it appears that I was pretty right on, but just needed a few details.

Looking forward to keeping up with your shenanigans and the little factoid about wrapping your newborn baby in a terrible towel is just ridiculous. haha

Keep on having fun and good luck with your case of the Mondays.
