All Steph wants for Christmas is Frank
As far as relationships go, Stephanie is really low maintenance. Personally, I think that this is a compliment and it says that she is confident with who she is, is comfortable with our relationship and isn’t the slight bit materialistic - unless we’re of course talking about one of the following things:
- Cool Whip/Reddi-Whip
- Shoes/Purses
- Frank
The first two are obviously self-explanatory, she just loves her some Reddi-Whip, shoes and purses (what woman doesn’t?).
The third one is a little more complicated, as it sounds as if she’d like to have a middle-aged man hanging around the place. But, the story behind Frank goes way back to when Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were putting the smack down on some aliens in the Men In Black movies. Frank had a smaller part in the movies, but it was still enough to make Stephanie fall in love with him.
You see, Frank is a fawn-colored (white) pug and Stephanie has been madly in love with him ever since.

The pug that started Steph’s obsession
So, as Christmas gets closer, all Stephanie has talked about is how great me and Frank would look in our matching Christmas sweaters and how much Frank would have loved helping decorate our tree and all of the other things that Frank would be excited about doing around this time of year.
Simply put, Stephanie is obsessed with Frank (pugs).
I mean, I guess they are kinda cute, aren’t they? (don’t tell her I said that)

I guess that I would consider this cute

What do you want to tell us, hmmm?

Cute until they chew everything up, poop everywhere, pee on everything, throw up all over the place, get fleas and hump your friends legs.
other than that.. yeah, they are cute. =P
Pat
Oh brother. Having a dog means losing some freedom. Just make sure you poke holes in the box so it can breath. I made the mistake of putting one of those in a taped up box and it was not a very merry christmas.
Dogs are the best thing in the world…just be sure to train them (watch the dog whisperer) early on!! They are a lot of work, but they will love you unconditionally forever, even if you make him wear that ridiculous outfit
Pat - thanks for painting the pretty picture. I’m REAL excited now.
Cam - just marked you off of the ‘potential dogsitter list’.
Sarah - you think that outfit is ridiculous? Thanks for the training tips - that’s ALL Stephanie.
The best present I ever received was a cocker spaniel puppy for Valentines Day!
He turned out to be an alcoholic dog, got liver disease and passed away a few years later, but still the best present ever!
despite the rumors…dogs don’t like clothes
BUT I do make Maddy wear reindeer ears for xmas…it lasts all of 10 seconds.
get the dog
congratz on your first baby
I can verify that Stephanie is completely obsessed with frank. Please get her the dog so she will stop asking me to buy her the little beast.

do it!
Christina - whaaaat? Alcoholic dog…or owner?
Abdo - thanks for the congats.
daddy (aka Bart) - I see that you finally gave in to Shannon ( http://bartandshan.blogspot.com/2008/10/introducing-gracie-marnitz.html ). I’m guessing that the same will happen to me, too. There’s no fighting it, really.
Sarah - you really shouldn’t have…although those pug puppies are reeeeally damn cute.
if you folded Vivi’s ears over, and smooshed her nose in, and bleached her hair, she’d look just like Frank. as it is, however, she looks more like the kind of alien Frank helps keep tabs on.
