Wedding Wednesday: The rehearsal dinner, hotel stuff and some honeymoon chit-chat

Cheers to another awesome Wedding Wednesday!

We had yet another awesome Wedding Wednesday here in Palo Alto tonight and this week’s topics were as follows:

The Rehearsal Dinner: We chatted about where we think we’re going to have out rehearsal dinner, how it’s going to work and who all will be invited. We’re both really looking forward to the rehearsal dinner — it’s a great time to relax and kick back with some of the most important people that we have in our lives. We’re blessed with being surrounded by so many amazing people, it’s incredible. As of now, Primos looks like it’s going to be the place. We’ve used it before, it’s got great food and it’s not super expensive.
The Hotel Plans: Next we talked about what hotel we’d like our out-of-town guests to stay in during our wedding weekend. This is a pretty important decision because you want everyone to be staying somewhere that’s not too expensive, but that’s still really nice and convenient for them. We’ve been looking at places in downtown Indy and so far we think that The Columbia Club looks like a great choice. Also, if we book it soon, I guess that we get the wedding suite for free — can I get a BOO YAH??
The Honeymoon: The last thing that we talked about was where we wanted to go for our honeymoon. This is a HUGE decision for us, as we absolutely love to travel so we really want to get the bang for our buck. We don’t get a ton of vacations these days, so when we do we want to make sure that we take full advantage of any opportunity that we get to have some fun and relax. Initially, Stephanie was thinking that she would like to head to somewhere that has some nice, tropical beaches — like Hawaii. But, as we talked more and more I started bringing up that I’d love for us to take a little Euro trip to Spain, France, Italy and who knows where else. It might be a little more expensive and a little less tropical, but sitting on a beach all day isn’t really our style anyways. We want to get out there and experience some new cultures and see some parts of the world that we’ve only seen on TV (or in Vegas). We definitely still have some decisions to be made on this, so we’ll come back to this as time goes on.

So, those are some of the highlights of tonight’s Wedding Wednesday, any suggestions, comments and advice on any of this would be much appreciated. I mean, we’re pretty new at this…
