Sweet Memories…

It’s always fun to take a little trip down memory lane isn’t it? Tonight I was looking through some old videos and I stumbled across a video I made way back last summer on my way to hang out with Ryan on one of our first “dates”. It’s so funny to think about the beginnings of our relationship and all of the crazyness that has preceded those early times. In this particular video I was actually on my way to be picked up in a chicken limo ( yes a chicken limo) that would then take me to a poison concert (Yea Bret Michaels!!). I can’t believe that I almost made up an excuse not to go… What was I thinking?!?! Haha This night has got to be one of my favorite memories with Ryan. It’s obvious that we were simply destined to be together.. I mean come on.. I was already making videos in my car before I even knew him… coincidence?? I think not!

A blizzard can’t keep us away from a birthday party

Today Stephanie and I are both down in the snow-filled state of Keeeeeentucky(insert your own hillbilly accent here) for the latest monumental event of the family, the first birthday of my twin nieces Reese and Riley. Up until about an hour ago, Kentucky was under an official blizzard warning(see my sister’s snow covered car here) but it didn’t come close to stopping me and the rest of the fam from making the trek down for the bash. We hopped into dad’s Yukon, slapped ‘er into 4-wheel drive and actually had no problems making our way down once we were on the road.

Well, according to my niece, Madison, it’s time for Uncle Hup to get off the computer and come play and it’s pretty hard to argue with that. I can’t wait to see the twins tear into their first birthdays cakes…get after it, kids and make this uncle proud.

Until I get the video done for today’s birthday goodness, check out my nephew Mason’s first birthday video below or over here on YouTube.

Chewing on balloons is ill-advised

The United Way’s Night at the Oscars that Stephanie and I rocked out about a week and a half ago was an amazing night filled with open bars, paparazzi and balloon chewing. See exactly what I mean in the video below or check it out over here on YouTube.

Polar Plunge 2008: A full day of freezin’ and fun

Stephanie and I finally decided to stay in for a night for once in our lives so that we could attempt to get a little bit of cleaning and work done. Well, Amazingly we actually accomplished both - I finished up two awesome videos that we’ve both been anxious to get put together and Stephanie graciously cleaned some dishes that were basically piled to the ceiling and making my condo smell like….ummm, well like something that you wouldn’t want a condo to smell like. This was an exceptionally kind gesture by Stephanie due to the fact that none of the dishes were actually mine(I eat Subway every day and never cook) - they were all my roommate’s doing. What an amazing woman, eh? I guess that he owes her one.

I must admit, after emceeing an event together all Friday night for the new upcoming public radio station 91.9 WITT(video coming soon) Stephanie and I were completely content with just hanging in the condo for a night. Oh, and yes, we even got some videos done for all of you to check out. Here is one that covers the entire day of the Polar Plunge that we participated for with our Team Brrrr from IndyMojo.com.

Check out the video over here on YouTube if you can’t see it below.

Also, you can check out our full interview that we rocked out before the Polar Plunge on WISH-TV Channel 8 over here in this previous post.

We’re made for television

I can’t seem to find the video of us getting interviewed by Dick Wolfsie early yesterday morning(like 6:00am!) before the Polar Plunge, but luckily I never leave anywhere without my camera and I made a sweet, full-length bootlegged version instead for everyone to check out. Like Stephanie said in her post about Polar Plunge we had a lot of fun and we even raised a solid amount of cash for our friends at the Indiana Special Olympics.

Check out the video below or check it out over here on YouTube.

Hup and Steph + Freezing Lake = Polar Plunge

Walking out to your car in February is cold. Waiting in line to get into your favorite bar in February is cold. Deciding to go for a run outside in February is cold.

Jumping into a frozen lake while wearing nothing more than a tank top, short-shorts and a couple headbands is just plain nuts.

Since Stephanie and I are coaches for a Special Olympics basketball team, we try to stay in the loop as far as ways that we can get involved to help out the program and we felt that the Indianapolis Polar Plunge was as good of a way to support the cause as any. And yes, it’s about as simple as it sounds and looks - people get donations that are put towards a goal of $75 per person, per plunge. Basically you can shell out some cash so that your friend, family member, co-worker, mortal enemy, etc. jumps into freezing cold water in the middle of an Indiana February. Brilliant, isn’t it?

Of course unlike the other members of IndyMojo’s Team Brrrrr, I have waited until the last minute to get my donations for me and one of our basketball players Mark, who is jumping as well. As of the writing of this blog(T-16 hours or so) I only have $20 towards my goal of $150, which means that I should probably bring my checkbook along with the rest of my things. Oh well, it’s for a great cause so why not. If anyone reads this before Saturday morning, feel free to throw me a few bucks if you can - if not I’ll still like you, I promise.

::HUP EDIT:: Oh, and how could I forget to mention that me and Steph are going to be rocking out a LIVE interview on WISH-TV Channel 8 bright and early at 7:00am. Be sure to check us out!

You can check out Mark and the rest of our team in this video that’s posted below.

Dance like nobody’s watching

I just stumbled upon this video of me and Stephanie getting our groove on last Summer downtown at Subterra. If you ever go out with us and you’re not real sure where we disappeared to, I would strongly advise that you make the dance floor one of your first places to look.

P.S. Stephanie loooooves her some Fergie.

If you can’t see the embedded video, check it out over here on YouTube.

::EDIT:: A quick shout-out to my roomie, Brandon, for the sweet camera work…and yes ladies, he is single.

VIDEO: Meet the grandparents

Yesterday I posted about Stephanie and I heading to her grandparent’s house in Danville, IN and how meeting the family members of your significant other is a huge step in a relationship and is not only a great way to better understand the person you are with, but it is also a great gauge on where he/she came from and how he/she became the amazing person that they are today.

As I said, I truly enjoy meeting all of Stephanie’s family and believe me, her grandparents were no exception. In fact, we had such a great time I think that I went into their house calling them her grandparents and I left calling them mawmaw and pawpaw. Not to mention that I was STUFFED with some of the best home made food that I’ve ever had(don’t tell my grandma that I said that).

Be sure to check out a few of the pics over here on Facebook and if you can’t see the embedded video below, click here to view it directly on YouTube.
